Being the first meeting of the month we announced the Player of the Month for June, Aram Amirghan. Aram has been playing very strongly lately having secured a top-four spot in the ladder.
The other activity on the first meeting of the month is to draw the Giantslayer (Aslin Sagnaklar) who challenges the Ladder Leader (David Reitzin) for 5% of his ladder score (242 points).
Jim was drawn as both jackpot and the bye. Although the bye counts as a win and awards 100 points it actually makes it very hard to be the night's winner as that requires 3 strong wins, in the high 100's.
