2024 NSW Open

The 2024 NSW Open Backgammon Tournament was hosted by Sydney Backgammoners at the North Ryde RSL on Saturday and Sunday March 9-10.

The Main Flight consisted of 8 rounds to 9 points and required a further Decider Round to determine 1st and 2nd place. Players were eliminated from the Main Flight after three losses and those eliminated my the 5th round could enter the Second Flight.

The 2024 NSW Backgammon Champion is Andrew Casey and the runner-up is Vazgen Panosian. 3rd and 4th spots were claimed by Gary Stavrou and Dilhun Akpinar respectively. Jan Spillekom and George Avramides were the winner and runner-up respectively of the Second Flight.
