Easter holidays kept our numbers down to an even dozen tonight.
However we did attract a new player, Terry Nickolas, and that is always a good sign.
Gary Stavrou was chosen as the jackpot player and failed to capitalise on the opportunity, beaten at the post by the formidable David Reitzin.
Gary was consoled, however, by the fact that Giantslayer Malcolm Stradwick failed to extract ladder points from him.
The placings were:
1st David Reitzin
2nd Gary Stavrou
3rd Angelo Voulgaris
4th Jim Bean
Carol Wakelin's 3-1 lead over John Symon progressed to her 7-4 victory |
A despondent John Symon plays a cool and collected Malcolm Stradwick |
Andrew Scarf ponders the "fickle finger of fate" as Ned Marootians makes his move
Jenny Saunders points to her winning self over Gary Stavrou |
And enjoys her "prize" of a pot of tea |
