We4dnesday June 22nd 2022

Fourteen players fronted up to play tonight and the first item on the agenda was to draw the jackpot player.

Carol Wakelin got the gig but a first round loss to Dilhun Akpinar took the jackpot claim out of the equation.

The June Giantslayer match has been completed and TD Gary Stavrou lost 213 of his hard earned points to Carol Wakelin.

The final results were:

1st           David Reitzin

2nd         Hammon Mans

3rd          Garry Byrne

4th          John Symon, Carol Wakelin and

               Peter Voulgaris

See you all next week !

Wednesday June 15th 2022

The winter chill has finally hit our numbers with only a bakers dozen of players coming to play.

However we did gain yet another new member in Jeremy Whitelaw, and judging by where he ended up in the placings on his first night I think he might be back – welcome Jeremy and well done!!

Koosha Hedjripour was drawn as the jackpot player but a first round loss to Gary Stavrou put paid to that  - better luck next time.

The final placings were:

1st                 Ned Marootians

2nd                Jeremy Whitelaw

3rd                 David Reitzin

Equal 4th      David Stubbs

Equal 4th      Angelo Voulgaris

See you all next week!

Wednesday June 8th 2022

Despite the chilly temperature and the lure of watching State of Origin at home in the warm, we still had 14  players happy to venture out .

Gary Stavrou was drawn as the jackpot player (again!) and missed out (again!) but it was not worth stretching yourself for as it was scooped up last week by Michel Gerges.

New player Bruno Cardenas joined us for the first  time – welcome Bruno!

Some good natured ribbing over the pre- play dinner saw regular John Symon playing under the moniker of Buttercup for the night, which he took with his normal sardonic good humour.

Close competition saw player sharing positions  on the  podium

The final results were:

1st                 John Symon AKA Buttercup - for tonight only

2nd                 Gary Stavrou

                      David Stubbs

4th                  Garry Byrne

                      Dilhun Akpinar

Wednesday June 1st 2022

Despite the very frosty temperature, 18 regulars and one new player (welcome Saeed Mahammadi)  fronted up for tonight's game.

Michel Gerges was drawn as the jackpot player and did what others have failed to do – capitalised on the chance and won the night, scooping up $115 in jackpot funds in the process – well done Michel!!

Carol Wakelin was drawn as the Giantslayer and will attempt to relieve Gary Stavrou of some of his hard earned points later in the month.

David Reitzin was player of the month and got his entry fee for the night refunded.

 The final results were:

 1st   Michel Gerges

2nd  Jenny Saunders

3rd   Peter Voulgaris

4th    Malcolm Stradwick and Joseph El-Alam (tied)
